Specifications for the PulverDryer System

The PulverDryer System is a complete machine that pulverizes blends, mixes, extracts moisture, and homogenizes materials placed into the machine…instantly!

HIGH SPEED TURBINE DESIGN

HOW THE PULVERDRYER SYSTEM WORKS:

PRECISION CAST TURBINE

The PulverDryer precision cast turbine is the heart of the system. This precision cast turbine is made of aircraft quality stainless steel to top quality specifications. This high tech turbine is spun at spindle speeds in excess of 4,000 RPM's to create a speed of sound airflow to carry the materials to be processed into the device.

The high speed airflow created by the turbine is pulled thru an inlet pipe and into the venturi which further increases the speed of the airflow and the materials suspended in the airflow. During the passage of the material thru the venturi it is pulverized and moisture is extracted from that same material - - instantly!

HIGH SPEED SPINDLE

The PulverDryer High Speed Spindle is designed to support the cast turbine blade as it creates massive airflows to process the materials placed into the device. The spindle is rugged and designed to last for long periods of time between maintenance of the spindle bearings. Design criteria utilized were developed in the machine tool markets. The spindle and spinning turbine are constantly balanced with a Schmitt SBS automatic balancing system to levels below 0.5 microns. Also incorporated in the design is the Schmitt Industries, Inc AEMS (Acoustical Emission Monitoring System) to help control the flow of materials thru the machine.

AIR PURGE SYSTEM

The PulverDryer Air Purge System is electronically controlled to provide blasts of compressed air into the housing while the turbine is spinning . These blasts break free wet/ sticky materials that attempt to build up on the inside edges of the turbine housing. This system allows the PulverDryer unit to handle extremely wet materials that approach 80% moisture.

POWER UNIT

Diesel Motor
The PulverDryer System can be provided with either a Diesel Engine or a 200HP electrical motor. The end use will determine the type of power requirements. PulverDryer engineers have developed the system to work with either requirement.

CYCLONE COLLECTION SYSTEMS

The PulverDryer utilized a pair of high volume air cyclones to separate the pulverized and dried materials from the high speed air flow. The cyclone system uses a rotary air lock at the base of the first cyclone to meter out the finished product.

Materials can be recycled thru the machine by utilization of the PulverDryer divertor valve to create multiple cycles. This further pulverizes and extracts moisture from the materials placed into the machine. Excess air is passed thru the second cyclone to a exit point. 95% of the finished product is recovered in the first and second cyclones. Cyclones are sized to the product being processed.
